Vent Cleaning is imperative for multiple reasons

I know it’s a topic that I’ve spoken of before, but this entire screen was filled with lint about 1/2 inch thick. Now there is the obvious outcome of taking too long to dry and not getting hot enough. But let’s dig in deeper.

This is, first and foremost a fire hazard and should have been taken care of months ago. Second, this will damage components of the unit. And third, you could be breathing in carbon monoxide that is not venting to the outside and staying in your laundry area.

FEMA suggests to have a professional clean your vents and do dryer maintenance every 6 months. According to the insurance commission 21% of house fires are still caused by washer/dryer generated issues.

Luckily The Appliance Coach offers a maintenance plan and if you are out of our area then many local appliance services do as well.
